If you are anything like us, you're probably thinking "What could possibly make smoked shrimp any better"?
Well, we may have just found the answer. Using one of our favorite seafood spice blends, combined with a quick bath in our favorite Oh-Tex sauce, you can bet this combination is bursting with flavor.
1 lb. raw, peeled, deveined, tail off shrimp
1/2 cup butter
1 lemon
2 sprigs rosemary
Fish Monger by The Fire & Smoke Society
Oh-Tex Original or Oh-Tex Hot
Make sure shrimp are thawed thoroughly.
Toss shrimp in a large bowl with Oh-Tex Original until they are coated evenly. (If you would prefer your shrimp to have a kick, toss in Oh-Tex Hot for a spicier finish).
Add Fish Monger by The Fire & Smoke Society to the bowl and toss again.
Preheat smoker to 250 degrees, (recipe also works in the oven). Meanwhile, quarter 1 stick of butter and place in a foil tray. transfer shrimp to the same foil tray. Quarter and squeeze the juice of 1 lemon throughout the tray, then toss the squeezed lemons into the tray. Top off with two sprigs of rosemary.
Place tray in your preheated smoker, (or oven), and cook until internal temperature is 145 degrees.
